1. Ownership of the service

The Nexus Audiobook software, design, logo, text and interface are © 2026 Aussi-Nexus Group (ABN 76 947 108 181) and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, resell, or redistribute the service or its code without written permission.

2. Your content stays yours

Nexus Audiobook is a text-to-speech reading tool. When you add a book, document, web page or pasted text, we do not claim any ownership or licence over it. Content you add is converted to speech live, held temporarily in server memory so that it can be streamed to you, and is not saved to disk or to our database. It is discarded when your session expires (by default after 8 hours of inactivity) or when you close the book.

3. You are responsible for what you add

By adding content you confirm that you own it, or that you have the right to use it for private listening, for example because it is in the public domain, is openly licensed, or you have bought or been given permission to use it. Nexus Audiobook does not supply books, does not host a library of copyrighted works, and does not verify the rights status of anything you add. Do not use the service to copy, share, record or redistribute copyrighted material without permission.

4. Accessibility and personal use

The service is intended for personal, non-commercial listening, including by people who find reading difficult (for example because of vision impairment or dyslexia). Audio is streamed for listening only; the service does not provide a download or recording feature. Nothing here is legal advice about whether a particular use is permitted in your country.

5. No endorsement

Any book titles, author names, brand names or trademarks that appear in the service belong to their respective owners and appear only because a user supplied the content. Their appearance does not imply endorsement by, or affiliation with, those owners.

6. Third-party software

The service uses open-source software including Node.js, Express, FFmpeg and eSpeak NG (used as a separate program), and, where enabled, Piper and LibreTranslate. These remain the property of their respective authors and are used under their own licences.

7. Reporting infringement

If you believe content is being used through this service in a way that infringes your copyright, please follow the steps on our Takedown / DMCA page. We respond to valid notices promptly.

8. Disclaimer

To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided "as is". Speech is generated automatically and may contain pronunciation or reading errors. Nothing in this disclaimer excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded.
